Bioware was established in 2002, in the city of Campinas, near the University of Campinas (Unicamp). Bioware’s team has a 10-year technical know-how in biomass thermoconversion, mainly combustion, gasification and pyrolysis – technologies that enable the production of biofuels, bioenergy and renewable raw materials such as bio-oil and charcoal. Bio-oil is the main product of biomass fast pyrolysis, a biofuel made from agricultural waste. It can be used as a fuel directly injected in energy generation stationary systems, as a substitute for petrochemical phenol or can be fractionated to produce fine chemical by-products. To produce bio-oil, Bioware has built, in cooperation with Unicamp, the PPR-200 Plant (a fast pyrolysis plant with capacity to process 200 kg/h of biomass), which is achieving satisfactory results. The company offers specialized and customized services, including courses and consulting and technical services, to attend costumers’ specific needs, seeking to improve the product, and the performance and results of its productive processes.
Mission To develop biomass to energy, materials and renewable fuels conversion technologies of high aggregate value with social and environmental responsibility.
Vision To meet the customers’ needs, create innovative technologies, and diversify and develop its business and products.
